WHAT IS IJMB?</h2>
<div style="font-size: 15px;">
Interim Joint Matriculation Board (I.J.M.B) is a programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. It is a programme that enables students gain direct admission into 200level without Joint Admission Matriculation Board (J.A.M.B) examination.<br />I’ll not be wrong to say I.J.M.B was designed to ameliorate problems of admission for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria University instead of JAMB.The examination was formerly conducted in May in designated Polytechnics and colleges Of Education, while the results was released by August. But guess what? Things have gone better. The examination for IJMB is now february every year.<br />One of the major reasons it’s better this way is because candidates do not need to be scared of direct entry form closing soon. Another reason is that the result comes earlier than usual. This will enable students to know their points on time and therefore choose universities and courses that will guarantee them admission prior to July when various schools will begin POST U.T.M.E</div>

No more JAMB-UTME examination<br />2. There is no expiry date for the IJMB result and certificate<br />3. IJMB candidates are admitted into 200Level (Year2) in the universities<br />4. Intensive and effective academic lectures, coaching and tutorials. IJMB has a very rich and comprehensive syllabus.<br />5. Deficiency in O’Level English and/or O’Level Mathematics is allowed. Even awaiting results students are eligible to enroll.<br />You might also want to see the difference between Remedial And IJMB Admissions.</div>

At GRADEPOINT CITADEL, they have veteran lecturers who impact due knowledge into IJMB students according to the IJMB syllabus . All thier lecturers at<br />GRADEPOINT CITADEL have more than enough knoeledge on the IJMB program so they know what to offer students in relation to their various subjects combination.<br />Also their lecturers are IJMB examiners. They mark IJMB papers every year and this is one of the way we render helping hands to our students, giving them upper hands. GRADEPOINT CITADEL run this program every year and they have students from various states in Nigeria who are currently undergoing the program with them.<br />The registration for 2017/2018 is still in progress with the closing date yet to be announced.<br />Standard accommodation for distant students is available with conducive environment.<br />Students who do not have O’level results can come for the program and they will enrol for WAEC GCE,NECO GCE or NABTEB with us along side with the program.<br />Many students have passed through GRADEPOINT CITADEL and gained admissions into universities of their choices. Meanwhile,<br />GRADEPOINT is affiliated with UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN (UNILORIN) and KWARA STATE UNIVERSITY (KWASU) . So, to process admission into these two universities is as easy as pap. But you can also gain admission into other universities notwithstanding.<br />Gaining admission into 200level, a student would only have to spend two more years if he/she is into a 4-year course and three more years if he/she is into a 5-year course.<br />GRADEPOINT CITADEL OF ADVANCED STUDIES (GPCAS) is the surest IJMB SCHOOL where you will receive competent lectures and you will be confident of facing INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD EXAMINATION (IJMBE).<img src="https://ci4.googleusercontent.com/proxy/1XIYJlHJ6Pk7KaHkNGkzaHlEP05b2zN0EH4SXNMzSsuhpxsVgGfCUYeCLjgodjMsZOZ94OeYK_fH58wO8MYf6XXCzhm6zjkCY44Mj62vDhbAmqvfpD7WEgONGDJ_v7CqYj1NL4z4xLRff9gJ2ZEvGLPzClAj_jVvsMRomy3b=s0-d-e1-ft#https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQtYeBPi0ba47jIu8D8eKc09yPxirx02Oj_eWxgqLngbkC1Tq_j" style="border: none;" /></div>

<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has stated that no candidate would be left out of the registration process despite having a week before the end of the exercise.<br />
He made this known during an interview with newsmen in Abuja<br />
after inspecting some registration centres.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
At the Digital Bridge Institute (one of the registration centres), Prof. Oloyede averted what could have turned out a major protest by moving over 100 candidates who were already agitating due to the slow pace of registration in the centre to other centres where there were less pressure.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
The JAMB Boss ruled out the possibility of extending the registration deadline despite the challenges faced by the candidates.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
According to him“About 871, 576 candidates have been registered as at Wednesday evening.</div>

<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
“We are going to 1,467,000 candidates. “What remains is 595,647 and we still have a whole week.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
“No candidate will be left unattended to at the closing of this exercise.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
“You do not want me to extend just for the sake of extension because I monitor on my screen.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
“That is why there is a difference between the closing date for registration and the closing date for sale.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
“By the time we sell, we will know how many that have bought but have not registered.”</div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #252324; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0px;">
When asked if how he would comply if summoned by the House Of Representatives, he said: “If I am invited, who am I not to answer them?</div>

<br />
<br />
<div dir="ltr">
The 2017 UTME registration is expected to commence soon. Already, many candidates are<br />
eagerly waiting for the announcement.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
However, only a few have taken time to decide on the course of study to apply for.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
In deciding a course of study, there are few things you should bear in mind;</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<u>Firstly</u>, you need to consider if you have interest or academic
aptitude for the course you wish to apply for Another is, to verify if
the course you<br />
intend to study is offered in the institution you are applying to. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
<a href="http://ijmbeadmission.com.ng/" target="_blank">Gain admission without jamb and post utme into 200 level with IJMB</a> </div>
<div dir="ltr">
You are also to verify the accreditation status of that course in such
institution if not you will just waste your time studying the course. <br />
Most importantly, you need to verify if you meet the O’level and UTME Subjects requirements for that particular course.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Each course of study has a specific O’level and UTME Subjects requirements you must meet<br />
before you are admitted to study that course.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
What works for an Engineering course doesn't work for a medical course.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Many UTME Candidates often make the mistake of choosing a course that
they do not meet the requirements for during UTME registration.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Thereby disqualifying themselves of admission from the onset. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
No school can admit you to<br />
study a course you do not have the<br />
requirements. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Even if your name appears on the admission list, you will be disqualified during the screening,<br />
verification or clearance process for that course you may be given another course which you may not have interest in. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Like I mentioned earlier, the UTME registration for 2017 is yet to commence. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
If I were you, this is the time I would use to make the decision
concerning which course of study to choose and institution before
registration commence.</div>

<br />
<div dir="ltr">
Federal Government of Nigeria has directed the Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board (JAMB) to delete all specialized courses or<br />
programmes being offered by universities of technologies and universities of agriculture from its portal.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu who gave the directive in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by JAMB’s Head of<br />
Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin also directed these specialized
universities to stick to their core mandates which they were set up to
carry and desist from running programmes which had no bearing to their
foundation.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The government, which stated that it had observed that some of these
universities of agriculture and technology had derailed from its<br />
responsibilities by running some of the programmes they are not created
for, warned candidates billed to seat for this year’s unified<br />
tertiary matriculation examination (UTME not to be deceived into choosing such programmes as<br />
they are illegal and are not provided for in the brochure.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The statement reads: “Government notes the unfortunate situation were
Universities of Agriculture offer programmes in Law,Management courses
such as Accounting,<br />
Banking and Finance, Business Adminsitration among others. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
As if that was not enough some<br />
institutions change the nomenclature of some of<br />
the courses to read for instance Banking and Finance, Engineering, Accounting Technology, among<br />
other names. This is an aberration and should be stopped with immediate effect.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“Specialized Universities are University set up to pursue specific courses/ programmes to steer<br />
the need of manpower in a particular sector of the economy. Some of
these specialized institutions include Universities such as Universities
of Agriculture, Universities of Technologies, Universities of Medicine,
amongst others. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Federal government has observed that these institutions have derailed from their statutory responsibility thereby running<br />
programmes that are antithetical to their mandates.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“In view of this ugly development, the Hon Minister of Education, Mallam
Adamu Adamu,has directed the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board
to delete all such courses on<br />
its portal and all candidates desirous of sitting for the 2017
Universities Tertiary Matriculations Examination are advised not to be
hoodwinked<br />
into such programmes as they are illegal and are not provided for in our brochure.”</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Meanwhile, JAMB said it has not started the sale of 2017 UTME forms as it is being alleged.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The board, which urged candidates to exercise patience, said the delay
in selling the form is due to its desire to reduce the challenges
associated<br />
with the conduct of the examination.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“Again the Board will want to state that it has not commenced the sales
of the 2017 UTME application documents. Candidates are urged to<br />
exercise patience as JAMB is putting final preparations towards commencing the sales.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“The delay has been occasioned by the Board’s desire to reduce to the
barest minimum challenges associated with the conduct of the<br />
Board’s examination. However, in the final analysis, Nigerians should
note that admissions will be conducted within the stipulated dateline.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“In view of the above, candidates and parents are advised not to pay
money to any agent, bank for any registration as JAMB has not and will
not appoint any agent. Soon, we will commence the sales and the Board
will make elaborate<br />
announcement with jingles to ensure that the public is well informed of the commencement of sales. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Our earnest attempt is to come near<br />
perfection in the conduct of the next<br />
examination and we plead with the public to support the Board’s effort
in ensuring that the Nigerian candidate gets the best,” the statement
added.</div>

<br />
<br />
<div dir="ltr">
The National Universities Commission ( NUC) has given
approval to Ignatius Ajuru University of Education to commence Bachelor
of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree programmes.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele who
disclosed this during an emergency Senate Meeting, said that the
Commission in principle granted the university request for expansion and
restructuring of programmes.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
He observed that since the establishment of the university, concentration had only been on<br />
developing Education which is one aspect of the core mandate of the
university with little or no attention paid to the non- education based<br />
related disciplines as provided by the Law and appropriate for a university of the highest standing.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
To this end, forms are already on sale at the Admission's
Office at the Rumuolumeni main campus for admission into a one year
Basic<br />
Studies Programme for the 2016/2017 academic session. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Upon completion of the programme,<br />
qualified candidates would be admitted as year one Students into the B.A, B.Sc, B.Tech.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
B.Agric, B.Ed, programmes of the university.<br />
Professor Ndimele informed members of Senate that remedial work at the Students Hostels in all<br />
the campuses would soon be completed for Students to move in and that the Department of<br />
Home Economics and Hotel Management have been commissioned to design
with the university logo and colours bed sheets, pillow cases,window
blinds, towels, Buckets etc that the<br />
Students would move into the renovated hostels with. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Home Economics and Hotel<br />
Management department is also to run a decent and befitting Restaurant for Staff.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
In addition to all these, he said that the Paint Factory
building project has started along with the Poultry, Fisheries, Mushroom
etc pilot<br />
scheme farming geared towards internal revenue generation under Edu Consult, the registered<br />
Company of the university.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Chief Executive implored the Consultancy Unit to liaise with multinationals and other oil<br />
companies and corporate bodies to fund research as external revenue generation efforts for the university.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Vice-Chancellor expressed displeasure with the rumored school fees increase and wondered<br />
where the Students got such information from especially as the Senate never discussed school<br />
fees increase at the last meeting.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
With the unresolved issue of non payment of electricity
bills by the university as alleged by the Power Holding Company of
Nigeria ( PHCN),<br />
Professor Ndimele regretted that some Staff could think of stealing
diesel, a move capable of putting the university in total darkness. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
He condemned the deliberate act of sabotage by the
perpetrators and warned staff to desist from such negative tendencies as
it would no longer be condoned.</div>
