Over 6,000 new students took their Matriculation oath during the 2015/2016 academic session Matriculation ceremony of the Ekiti State University (EKSU).
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Samuel Bandele congratulated the new students and welcomed them into the community of intellectuals.
He advised the students to shun all acts of indiscipline capable of prolonging their stay in the
institution. Prof. Bandele also admonished them to cultivate
reading culture and moral uprightness which EKSU students are known for, adding that it is important that they make self respect their watch word.
The VC said no stone has been left un-turned in the effort to re-position and restructure the University system.
He further added that the institution is fast growing and it's breaking new grounds in ICT, stability of academic calendar and internally generated revenue and academic quality.
The matriculation oath was administered on them by the Registrar of the University Mr. Emmanuel Ogunyemi at a colourful ceremony.
