Corp Members Serving In Rivers State Get Increment On Their State Allowances

The Rivers State Government has approved the increment of the monthly allowance paid to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to the state from N5000 to 10,000.

This was disclosed by Mr Kenneth Kobani, Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

According to him, the corps members will soon start receiving the new allowance. “The allowances of the corps members have been increased, and Gov. Nyesom Wike has approved the
increment. “I have discussed it with the NYSC State Coordinator.

They will get the funds shortly, the
governor has approved it,” he said. He equally stated that the state government will continue to support NYSC in providing facilities at the permanent orientation camp.
