IJMB IN BRIEF

Use IJMB to catch up in 200 level
                                         HELPLINES: 08130096868, 07036380306

                                       WHAT IS IJMB?

Interim Joint Matriculation Board (I.J.M.B) is a programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. It is a programme that enables students gain direct admission into 200level without Joint Admission Matriculation Board (J.A.M.B) examination.
I’ll not be wrong to say I.J.M.B was designed to ameliorate problems of admission for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria University instead of JAMB.The examination was formerly conducted in May in designated Polytechnics and colleges Of Education, while the results was released by August. But guess what? Things have gone better. The examination for IJMB is now february every year.
One of the major reasons it’s better this way is because candidates do not need to be scared of direct entry form closing soon. Another reason is that the result comes earlier than usual. This will enable students to know their points on time and therefore choose universities and courses that will guarantee them admission prior to July when various schools will begin POST U.T.M.E

Among the various benefits that IJMB candidates have are:
1. No more JAMB-UTME examination
2. There is no expiry date for the IJMB result and certificate
3. IJMB candidates are admitted into 200Level (Year2) in the universities
4. Intensive and effective academic lectures, coaching and tutorials. IJMB has a very rich and comprehensive syllabus.
5. Deficiency in O’Level English and/or O’Level Mathematics is allowed. Even awaiting results students are eligible to enroll.
You might also want to see the difference between Remedial And IJMB Admissions.

ABOUT THE IJMB SCHOOL (WHERE YOU WILL TAKE THE PROGRAM)

GRADEPOINT CITADEL OF ADVANCED STUDIES (GPCAS) is the IJMB SCHOOL where you can enrol for the IJMB program.
It is more like a normal campus life, GPCAS is located in Ilorin, Kwara State at Irewolede opposite Sawmill. At GRADEPOINT CITADEL, they have veteran lecturers who impact due knowledge into IJMB students according to the IJMB syllabus . All thier lecturers at
GRADEPOINT CITADEL have more than enough knoeledge on the IJMB program so they know what to offer students in relation to their various subjects combination.
Also their lecturers are IJMB examiners. They mark IJMB papers every year and this is one of the way we render helping hands to our students, giving them upper hands. GRADEPOINT CITADEL run this program every year and they have students from various states in Nigeria who are currently undergoing the program with them.
The registration for 2017/2018 is still in progress with the closing date yet to be announced.
Standard accommodation for distant students is available with conducive environment.
Students who do not have O’level results can come for the program and they will enrol for WAEC GCE,NECO GCE or NABTEB with us along side with the program.
Many students have passed through GRADEPOINT CITADEL and gained admissions into universities of their choices. Meanwhile,
GRADEPOINT is affiliated with UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN (UNILORIN) and KWARA STATE UNIVERSITY (KWASU) . So, to process admission into these two universities is as easy as pap. But you can also gain admission into other universities notwithstanding.
Gaining admission into 200level, a student would only have to spend two more years if he/she is into a 4-year course and three more years if he/she is into a 5-year course.
GRADEPOINT CITADEL OF ADVANCED STUDIES (GPCAS) is the surest IJMB SCHOOL where you will receive competent lectures and you will be confident of facing INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD EXAMINATION (IJMBE).

MOUAU Students Protest FG’s Decision Of Scrapping Non-Agric Courses In The School

MOUAU Students Protest FG’s Decision Of Scrapping Non-Agric Courses In The School

tudents of the College of Management Sciences (COLMAS) of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike in Abia, on Thursday protested against the Federal Government’s policy scrapping seven courses in the college.
The affected courses are Accounting, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Economics, Entrepreneurial Studies, Industrial Relations and Business Administration.
The students protested to the office of the Dean of the college, Prof John Ihendinihu, and called on the management of the university to initiate steps toward the restoration of the courses.
The President, Association of Management Science Students (AMSS) of the university, Mr Uzoma Onuoha, said that they were disturbed by the news of the scrapping of the courses.
Onuoha said that they were worried by the development and wanted to know what the management was doing about it.
“We appeal to you sir to ensure that something is done fast to restore the programmes.
“We can never be violent or engage in any act that would bring shame to the university as we continue to express our dissatisfaction with the policy,” he said.
The students carried placards, some of which read: “Restore our programme in JAMB brochure.
“The scrapped management programmes were approved by relevant professional bodies” and “Management programmes in MOUAU have been in existence since 2003’.”
Responding, the dean said that the college with the university management was on top of the situation and hoped to get positive response from the relevant authority.

No UTME Candidate Will Be Left Out Of The Registration Process – JAMB

No UTME Candidate Will Be Left Out Of The Registration Process – JAMB

The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has stated that no candidate would be left out of the registration process despite having a week before the end of the exercise.
He made this known during an interview with newsmen in Abuja
after inspecting some registration centres.
At the Digital Bridge Institute (one of the registration centres), Prof. Oloyede averted what could have turned out a major protest by moving over 100 candidates who were already agitating due to the slow pace of registration in the centre to other centres where there were less pressure.
The JAMB Boss ruled out the possibility of extending the registration deadline despite the challenges faced by the candidates.
According to him“About 871, 576 candidates have been registered as at Wednesday evening.
“We are going to 1,467,000 candidates. “What remains is 595,647 and we still have a whole week.
“No candidate will be left unattended to at the closing of this exercise.
“You do not want me to extend just for the sake of extension because I monitor on my screen.
“That is why there is a difference between the closing date for registration and the closing date for sale.
“By the time we sell, we will know how many that have bought but have not registered.”

JAMB Aspirants should Not ChooseUnauthorized Courses In Specialized Varsities Says FG

The 2017 UTME registration is expected to commence soon. Already, many candidates are
eagerly waiting for the announcement.
However, only a few have taken time to decide on the course of study to apply for.
In deciding a course of study, there are few things you should bear in mind;
Firstly, you need to consider if you have interest or academic aptitude for the course you wish to apply for Another is, to verify if the course you
intend to study is offered in the institution you are applying to.
You are also to verify the accreditation status of that course in such institution if not you will just waste your time studying the course.
Most importantly, you need to verify if you meet the O’level and UTME Subjects requirements for that particular course.
Each course of study has a specific O’level and UTME Subjects requirements you must meet
before you are admitted to study that course.
What works for an Engineering course doesn't work for a medical course.
Many UTME Candidates often make the mistake of choosing a course that they do not meet the requirements for during UTME registration.
Thereby disqualifying themselves of admission from the onset.
No school can admit you to
study a course you do not have the
requirements.
Even if your name appears on the admission list, you will be disqualified during the screening,
verification or clearance process for that course you may be given another course which you may not have interest in.
Like I mentioned earlier, the UTME registration for 2017 is yet to commence.
If I were you, this is the time I would use to make the decision concerning which course of study to choose and institution before registration commence.
If you have any question use the comment box below.
