The Industrial impasse between Trade Unions and Management
of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti has further taken toll on the
academic calendar of the institution, as additional one week has been
added to the earlier declared two weeks mid-semester break.
It would be recalled that the
authorities of the Polytechnic
following the industrial face off by the three staff Unions, ASUP, SSANIP and NASU, declared two weeks mid-semester break with effect from Wednesday, 12th October, 2016.

In a Circular dated 24th October, 2016,signed by the
Institution’s Registrar,Mrs. Sade Adediran disclosed that “Management
has decided to extend the mid-semester break of two (2) weeks by
another one (1) week with effect from Thursday, 27th October, 2016.”
